I developed a new microservice in Node.js that aimed to enhance bi-directional email synchronization by integrating with Microsoft EWS from scratch. The previous service needed functional improvement and needed replacement.
I was responsible for the entire development process, including the creation of features such as authentication, folders and tags management, email sending and receiving, and events handling.

The project’s critical specification was its ability to handle hundreds of thousands of emails and synchronization operations per minute from multiple customers concurrently without any service disruption.
To meet this requirement, I utilized various techniques to manage task scheduling and rate limiting dynamically.
I actively conducted rigorous testing, including benchmark tests, to ensure seamless and uninterrupted service operation.

The transition from the old service to the new microservice happened without any downtime, providing continued support for existing customers.
The new microservice also offered customers various authentication methods and guaranteed seamless email synchronization, enhancing user experience and operational efficiency.
